The
mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by
proclaiming
the good news of
God’s grace and by exemplifying
Jesus’ command to love God and neighbor, thus seeking the
fulfillment of God’s reign and realm in the world. The
witness committee of New Albany First United Methodist Church
seeks to
help our church fulfill this mission as stated in the Bible and
emphasized in the Discipline of the United Methodist Church.

Some of our goals: To make our church fellowship more visible in the community as a welcoming center for people who are seeking a church home To help our church members know each other better and identify and welcome visitors who come to our worship services To ensure that all visitors are made to feel welcome and receive information as they make a decision about church membership To develop a program to contact visitors in a friendly manner to make sure they know that they are wanted We meet monthly. If you are not a member of our church, there is a place here for you! If you are a member and interested in helping us, there are a number of ways you can render service. |
