• Camp Son Shine - Vacation Bible School for at risk children in our community
• Upward Basketball - Basketball program for youth in the community which teaches sound Christian values while being a part of a team
• Christmas Store - outreach program for local residents who need assistance providing Christmas gifts for their children
• Operation Christmas Child - worldwide mission project to provide Christmas boxes to needy children around the world
• Good Samaritan Food Pantry - mission in our community to provide food to needy families
• Local short term missions include Habitat for Humanity, Lighthouse, and Disaster Response/Relief. We also send teams of church members out to do everything from minor home repairs to total building projects for families across our community and country as the need arises.

Global Missions: New Albany First United Methodist Church supports United Methodist Missions that are already established in a variety of nations. We also support members and teams from our church for short term overseas mission projects.

Programs currently in Review:

• To establish a free medical clinic in New Albany to serve those who need medical attention but cannot afford health care or prescriptions
• To establish more local short term mission projects to help improve the living conditions for families in our community
• To support the Angel Food Ministry through providing monthly food boxes to needy families in the community
• To promote a growing need to send individuals and teams of church members on short term national and international mission trips to areas where care is most needed
